I think it’s a fine release, but I didn’t add a single one to my list of patterns to buy, not even any “maybes.”

—M8557, bow front blouse. There’s been sooo many patterns for a Ganni bow top come out recently, and they’re jumping on the train!
—M8554, off shoulder dress or gown. I feel like I’ve seen this on the red carpet somewhere.

Know Me 2104, trousers, cumberbund and shirt, is an excellent ensemble for a dressy office. It could be made in velvet and silk for a more formal look. I thought it was the best pattern in the line up.

8429 is a nice A-line type dress, but, my opinion, lose the patch pockets.

8521, the dress by one Brandi Joan is pretty in the pictures, but do note the absence of bust darts, which have been rotated to the shoulder and the fullness gathered into the shoulder seam. This might not be the best choice for a large busted woman. Also, the pictures showed a fuller skirt than is apparent in the line drawings. I think I would want to examine the pattern in the store before buying this one.

8542 is a vintage reissue, and IMO, worth buying for the 8 gore skirt.

The two Laura Ashley reissues, 8540 and 8539 are not, IMO, among her best designs. I would like to see McCall's reissue some of her fabulous blouse patterns.

I like a lot of these. For instance, I would enjoy wearing these "lounge" outfits (M8563). Very cute!

The only thing I'm a little confused about is why the view A top has only one closure at the base of the neckline, but is completely open otherwise down the center front.

Really like these adorable ruffle details.

I like the view B and C woven track pants from ME2110.

The view A top is nice, too. For myself, I would lengthen it to cover my midsection (front and back).

This
is very retro. I like it but where to get that ribbing?

I actually have a pattern from the 80s very much like this. Actually many of these are reminiscent of previous decades. Some seem very familiar while not being exact copies.

Basically there's nothing much new if you've been collecting patterns for 40 years.

I love everything about this one, especially the coat (though I could never wear the trousers), and will definitely get this one

English Factory and Free People both have (hideous) shirts in this style. McCall's 8557 is an improvement. It actually looks wearable!

8556 is pretty but there's so much fabric in the back!

8551 is pretty! I'm not sure how I feel about the shoulders and I wish the back neck was a little higher, but this might be going on my wishlist.

And 8569 would be cuter with different sleeves, but that's an easy fix. The short sleeves look a bit like a tea cup.

I quite like this - maybe not enough to buy and make and wear it myself, but maybe a DD... (I like the peek-a-boo gores or godets...)

Looking at 8556 again, I do really like it. Both samples are in really cool fabrics. I think it looks like a Vogue pattern.
