Cheap fabrics, like cheap shoes, are a false economy.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

I hope you didn't let the people on the fabricmart bundle thread know about this. They're enabled enough as it is....

Went to fabric depot online. How do I get their flyers? Would they be the best/cheapest place to get swimsuit fabric?

Fabricdepotco.com has resonable prices on some stuff, (plain colored lycra), but not on their fancier lycra (holographic or shiny, etc.). Susan at Fabric Depot (co) has a lot of really nice, high quality stuff, though.
Here's my thoughts:
Fabricdepotco: Has some good prices, some high prices. I usually shop here if I need a really high quality piece of solid colored lycra. Susan has excellent customer service. She'll send you a catalog if you call her. The website is www.fabricdepotco.com. I've been pleased with everything I've ever gotten from her. Her shipping can get expensive, though.
SpandexHouse : Good prices, resonable quailty. I've had really good experiences with the more expensive lycras (the holographic and metallic are really inexpensive here, but are of good quailty). The milliskin matte fabric is what I use to make most of my skating dresses. I didn't like the quality of the regular (rastchel) lycra as much. They also have a great selection of prints.
If you are looking for the best swimsuit fabric and want a solid matte, get the milliskin from spandex house ($8 a yard). If you want a shimmery lycra, go to fabricdepotco.com.
HTH!

I purchased a bundle from http://www.fabricdepotco.com/ in the past and it was terrific. Susan is great to deal with too!

Thanks, very helpful. I think I'll try one of the bundles. Haven't made a new swimsuit for a couple of years!
