I'm posting this in sewing machines, because I think more people read here than quilting...

What's the best foot to use to stitch in the ditch?

Ditch Foot
Walking Food
Open Toed Walking Foot

IMO, the ditch foot, that is what it was made for and it does a wonderful job. I have to add that I am not a quilter and though I use the ditch foot often I don't know how it would perform on many layers with batting or if your machine would need to use the walking foot for this purpose. An open toe walking foot gives good vision to follow a seam. I can just say that the ditch foot does what it was designed to do and does it well.

Yeah, what Kylnne said. However, if there isn't a ditch foot available for your machine the open toe foot is the next best choice. A friend of mine uses the zipper foot and it works great for her but I think a lot of it depends on what you get used to. The ditch foot works great through all the quilt layers.
