Okay I will shamelessly promote both - page 41 has Ann's timely and lucid article on the benefits - no the necessity - of proper pressing during construction. Just take one look at the pressed and un-pressed blouse on page 41 and no self respecting sewer would ever not press properly during construction.

Susan's lovely and refined ensemble on page 67 shows us that careful thought can produce from different fabrics and styles from three different pattern companie (that’s amazing) a cohesive and subtle set of garments that will turn heads in any room. Each garment looks like it was designed along with the others.

Bravo!

Phyllis

I'm dying to run out and get this but I recently subscribed and I'm not sure if they will start with this issue or wait till the next. I really need a magazine fix. They didn't have Australian Stitches yet when I stopped at Joann's earlier this week. I'd have even settled for Sew News this month, which doesn't usually do much for me, but they didn't have THAT either...

I am going for a level of perfection that is only mine... Most of the pleasure is in getting that last little piece perfect...Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just keep showing up and doing the work.

OMG! I saw Ann's article, but I didn't even notice that the 3-piece ensemble was DrSue's!
Thanks for pointing this out.
Great work ladies!

Thanks for pointing that out! I read Ann's great article, but missed Dr. Sue's lovely ensemble.

I hate to admit it but I looked and looked and can't find Deepika's entry; am I just blind tonight? Love Dr. Sue's outfit - beautiful sweater knit.

Rhoda,

Deepika's article on purse hardware was in the last issue, not the most recent.

HTH!
