Wow. We just had a 20 minute burst of downpours, thunder, lightening and hail. I haven't seen hail but 2 or 3 times in 30 years out here. The cat just came out from under the bed. DD was driving home from work on the freeway when it hit. Her first time. Anyone else have to run out on their front porch to watch? I realize the rest of the world is snickering at me right now.

Oh I dont like hail..fun to watch but very damaging to cars.
We have severe hail storms here in Oz and once my DD's car looked like someone had beaten it all over with a golf club.
I am keeping an eye on your weather too, as we will be in Anaheim on October 20th to October 30th.

In the midwest we had SNOW yesterday on October 12th. In my life time we have never had snow this early in the year. Some areas got up to 2 feet of the white stuff.

I seems good ol' Mother Nature is out of sorts these days.

Are you going to stop at Disneyland? I have season passes and could meet you if the timing works out.

Sherril, I would LOVE to meet you
We are spending the whole 10 days there at DL. Last year my DD and I took my Mum who is 84. It was her first time at DL and she always secretly wanted to go. Mum loved it so much and was so much fun, hubby and I decided to take her again...she even went on Splash Mountain !
I will PM with details.

We usually see snow just before Halloween. I hope not this year. It would be nice for a warm evening for the trick or treaters.

Our temps just took a more drastic change over the past couple of days. We had our first frost last night. I hope we don't see snow for a long time yet.

Masdenman, I'm not snickering at you. We get thunder storms all the time....sometimes with hail. Each one is startling and worthy of checking out or hiding from. ;o)

Mother nature is being a little wicked this year. It seems like it is colder than usual here. We've already turned the furnace on and usually we don't do that until around mid November. Thunder, lightening and hail with sudden downpours is really rare here. When it rains, you have newscasters on the corners telling us its raining, like we can't see that for ourselves. We are a bunch of wusses.
