hey everyone
I was wondering if anyone can suggest an effective way to hem a flouce skirt.
because of the curves it is giving me a little problem and I know there is an easy way to do this

First, it will need to be a narrow hem (unless you use a facing for a hem). Do you have a serger? If so, set the differential to gather the edge just a bit so when you press it up, the extra width is eased into the narrower space.

I taught a flounce skirt class a couple of years ago to several classes - over 50 skirts in all.
If you are using even a moderately light weight fabric your serged narrow hem is probably pulling away from the bias portions of the circular hem.
The best alternative I was able to come up with was to stitch 1/8" away from edge, turn under using iron (make yourself a cardboard template to press against, the overcast stitch and the edge will not pull away.
