I'm looking for stretch lace fabric - non-metallic, 4 way stretch or just horizontal stretch is okay. I would love to find the lace in a non-distinguishable pattern, in other words no floral designs or geometric lines of the pattern. I am wanting this to make a long gown completely in this lace with velvet accents at the neckline and sleeve ends. Onto the velvet accents I plan to apply some design of my own, so that is why I do not want the lace to have a definite design to interfere with the accent designs. If I am able to find the lace, then what would be suggested to line it with? I have just had the hardest time finding fabrics online, or locally for that matter, that are in colors I need. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure what a lace without a distinguishable pattern would be - have you considered a tightly woven fishnet or other nylon mesh? Lucy's Fabric might have some.
