I know this is a sewing site, but I also know that many of you pray. Could you please pray for Amy? She is a 24 (maybe 25) year old woman that I attend church with. She is married to Scott and they are the parents of a 3 month old little girl. Amy is in ICU here in Columbus with a cyst in the middle of her brain. She had a severe headache this weekend. She went to urgent care and a cat scan and MRI was ordered. This is a very life threatening condition. It is also very rare that it is ever treated because usually a cyst of this kind ruptures and kills the person very quickly beofre medical care is ever sought. It is usually only discovered after the patient is already passed. She is hospitalized with tubes draining pressure from her brain. She is in an incredible amount of pain as they can only give her Tylenol with Codeine because stronger pain relievers are dangerous for her condition. She needs to be questioned every hour to make sure her mind is properly working, so she can't really sleep much either. They are planning to perform surgery on Friday, but needed to order special equipment. Columbus is a decent sized city (the 14th largest metro area in the U.S. when I last heard), but apparently it is so unusual to remove this type of cyst that the head of neurosurgery at the hospital where she is being treated is calling around the nation looking for a DR. that has performed this surgery before. She is separated from her baby, in great pain, and knows her life is in immediate danger. She is a wonderful young woman. She has great faith, which I've heard is what she says is keeping her sane right now. She has asked that people ask anyone they know to pray for her. Please pray for her if you are able.

I have read your request and have already granted it. May the good and gracious Lord God take care of Amy, her husband and baby, all other family members, and may He also lead the Columbus doctor in finding a surgeon who is capable of performing the needed surgery. God Bless Amy and her loved ones, and you for interceding on her behalf!

Thank you for praying for her. I did hear a good report today that they have successfully drained the cyst. I was told that draining it was a very delicate procedure with danger involved. She is still in ICU and needs surgery to remove the cyst, but it is good news that it's been drained.
