Just got the email from hot patterns. New tie front blouse...saw beautiful white blouses in Paris by Anne Fontaine. New knit wrap dress...kind of reminds me of Kara Janx

I LOVE the blouse... without the tie for me. I might have to get that pattern...

That's exactly what I thought when I saw that wrap dress---Kara Janx's kimono dress. I really like that, it's just a bit different that most wrap styles.
Now the blouse really reminds me of this Burda WOF blouse from Aug. 07.
The dress will definitely go on my (long) list of HP patterns that I want. Now if they'd just have another buy 2, get 1 sale...

That's exactly what I was thinking!

I **was** on a 2008 fabric fast. My numbers have been removed (for obvious reasons) ;-)

I love the dress pattern, though body proportions are too different to me. I'm 6" shorter and most of that in the shoulder-to-waist area.

I just checked my e-mail, saw the Hot Patterns news and *had* to go here to discuss the Kara Janx knockoff dress!!
I *need* that!! I will possibly wait until a sale comes, or I see it reviewed... but I have a feeling I will be paying full price for that (and I am very cheap when it comes to patterns, LOL, since I sub to Burda WOF and Ottobre I usually don't buy other patterns for me...)

I got the email and ordered both immediately. I can't wait to get them. I'm going to see a friend in NYC at the end of the month and I think the dress will be perfect to wear for dinner!
