somebody has to ... (Moderated by Deepika, EleanorSews)

I wish I could even begin to describe how much this day sucks so far.
I got out of bed relatively early, turned the iron on and made breakfast and lunch then got in the shower. Got out of the shower, and the cat had puked ALL OVER the hallway. Cleaned that up. Ironed my shirt, only to find--on the very LAST piece I ironed of course--that there was a stain. Crap. Got another shirt out of the closet, it needs ironing too. Iron it. Finishing up on the front when I see it's missing a button, 2nd from the bottom. Go to sew it back on and while setting up the sewing machine--which is JUST back from getting its tuneup--I managed to dump all my bobbins on the floor. Got the button sewed back on. Cat puked again. Clean it up. Do my hair, get out the door. The cat puked one more time but since it was on linoleum instead of hardwood I didn't clean it up since by now I'm way late. Get in the Jeep, and all the rain water that was sitting on the soft top dumps down my front and into my lap. Now I don't want to drive to work covered in water, and it's soaking into the seat under me. I drive back up the driveway and get in Kris' Jeep. It dies on me after I backed down the driveway into our street. Will not start again. I call him, and he tells me to floor the gas pedal while I turn the key, and that works. I get down the road and the gas light comes on. Stop for gas. Finally get to work ... and the shirt I'd so carefully ironed, after getting damp and then squished under my coat and seat belt, looks like it's been wadded up in the back of the closet for a year.
And it's only Tuesday!!!!

I wouldn't say I was laughing at you . . . rather with you!
I know about the soft top issue and a Jeep. I drive one too! My windshield seal on the top of the windshield has started to leak. No matter how many times I tell my daughter not to 'draw' in the drips, she does it anyways leading to the necessity of keeping a rag in the Jeep in order to wipe the inside of the windshield.
I also understand about the cat puke. My cat is a 'puker' no hairball rememdy or food has made much difference. He puked on our bed last night at 4:30AM!
Hope you day gets easier (and week)
Joan

haha, thanks.
My old bikini top was easier to push the water over the passenger side. I don't know why, but this new one I just got comes back over onto me no matter HOW hard I try to keep it going the other way. Normally with the bikini top, windjammer and upper half doors, I drive it 8 months out of the year or more and it's not too bad but this morning I was just flat out too pissy to deal with it.
Plus, normally my Jeep lives in the garage so I don't have rainwater issues, but right now the bits and pieces of my motorcycle are all over its normal spot so I left it outside. I took my motorcycle apart to do some bearings and get the frame powdercoated since riding season is nearly here.
Oh and it's PMS time too, and my fiance is working out of town all week.

Maybe that's a good thing???? In my case it sure would be. When I riding a string of so much "luck", I really need to be alone (of course, it might be safer for those I love for me to be alone so maybe it's not so much a need...).
Hope your day... your week... improves...

What a morning!!!!! Tomorrow HAS to be better!!!!We have a pukey cat, too. He's lactose intolerant...so no cat food that contains milk for him. We have to rinse our glasses right away after having milk ourselves because he'll jump on the counter to dip his paw down the glass to get any bit of milk left then lick his paw with delight. When caught at this, he looks pleased with himself...until he gets sick. The other two cats that aren't lactose intolerant never go after the milk remains.

Is your cat normally urpy? Hope she/he gets better.

He urps once in a while but normally as I clean it up I usually see some grass or thread or something in it that makes sense. Might have to give him some anti-hairball-goo if he keeps this up!

I so empathize with you. For Mother's Day, I got a migraine, my period, and two piles of dog poo in the crate. And somehow... your day sounds ever worse.
It gets better!

Count your lucky stars, you didn't step in the cat puke!
