I've bought 3 older sewing machines with no luck, so I'm going to try a new one.
Is there a sewing machine between $250 and $350(including sales and ebay) that:
1) is computerized
2) Does embroidered letters
3) has an overlocking feature
4) is relatively easy to use
and possibly 5) has a full on embroidery attachment that I can purchase separately?
I was to make clothing for my daughter/son and diapers for my youngest.
Thanks for your help!

Take a look at the Kenmores at Sears when sales are on - the 19233 is usually 449, but there are sales now and then. It does letters, is computerized, easy to use and has an overlock type stitch - a couple. However, the sewing machine overlocking stitches are NOT going to do what a serger will do. I do use them though, and I don't need the serger, it's just nice to have.
Consider your dealers "previously owned" machines. There are many good buys in the used sewing machine area. Take your time and do your research.
There are Janomes that do all that, but they cost more. In your range you won't get embroidery?! Someone else may know more about that.
Read the reviews here on PR, and note the prices paid. See if you can go see machines and see how they feel to you.
Good luck!
