I am looking for particularly large sew-on snaps - 1" in diameter. Would appreciate any advise on whereb to source them from.
Thank you,
Adriana

Eli, I think Ann/Gorgeous Things said she bought hers at Pacific Trimmings in NYC. Their phone number is on the NYC Shopping Spreadsheet. My local store has (had?) them, too, so let me know if Pacific Trimming can't help you.

Where are we going, and what am I doing in this handbasket?

Pacific Trims had them when I was there last. I think they were something like $1/set. You can call and ask them and I believe they will do mail order.

It looks like M&J has some too. Plastic:

Karla, if it is not too big of a deal, would you mind asking your local store if they still have them and what the price is. I need 9 snaps and it would cost me 36$ if I get them online, so anything cheaper is better.
Thank you,
Adriana

Oh, gee...I'll have to drop in there on my way home from work tomorrow. Darn! I would go tonight, but it seems there is a tropical storm in the area, and the store usually closes early when we have festivities like this.

Are you fussy about color? I can't remember whether they had more than one finish (nickel, bronze, black?). Let me know what your first, second, third choices are. I hope they still have them - and that they have enough.

BIG EDIT I called the store, and they have them, but the price is $7.98 for 2 snaps, so your mail order price doesn't sound too out of line. I'm sure I've seen a plastic version of these large snaps for a lower price. Have you tried contacting a local Joann's or maybe Greenberg-Hammer in NYC? Let me know if I you're still interested in what my local store has. I had forgotten how much I paid for those things!

Don't worry, Karla.
Obviously the metal ones are simply expensive. I emailed Pacific Trimming and they should give me a quote on Friday or so. I will contact Greenberg and Hammer as well.
Thank you for checking on this for me!
