I have just been thru the whirlwind holiday season, that started in November, and finally today I was able to sit down and browse wonderful fabric on sale online. There are some great sales at Michaels Fabric (a PR sponsor), Sawyer Brooks (a PR merchant) and then Fabric.com is having 20 percent off everything!!! I made a small order, but it keeps calling for me to go back & look for some quilting fabric for a baby gift in May. The other 2 sites I found myself ordering some more to add to my stash/to make into outfits for me (one of my goals in 09) and my DD. Has anyone else found some great bargains out there, and what did you buy????????

Fashionista Fabrics is having an awesome sale right now. Melody's fabrics are of top quality and it is a pleasure buying from her. Yesterday, I got some Tahari wool pinstripe, black wool similar to this navy, silk cotton satin, and berry tweed.

I've been hitting FabricMart pretty hard, not so much because of bargains (although the prices are good!), but because they've had interesting fabrics posted that I can't get locally. And the bag stuffer swatches they put in the boxes are very tempting--those have accounted for several purchases.

Yesterday, I started by calling Michael & bought some lovely shirting for the stash as I am still trying to get pants that fit before advancing to plain button front L/S shirts. I wanted more of his wonderful Zegna pants cotton but he was out. Progressed to Fabric.com & Gorgeous Fabrics & spent way more than was budgetted.

I ordered a few things, too. If anyone hasn't purchased from Melody, I agree that her fabrics are top quality at amazing prices. Her wools are so soft and buttery that I don't want to line them!

This is the one time that I'm allowing myself to break my fabric diet for a while. I ordered the Designer Grey doublecloth, Chocolate sateen, Lost City of Atlantis jersey, Classic scrollwork jersey, and the Turquoise native sueded print jersey.

I bought 3 more yards of the wool knit from from Michaels at half price and some tan linen for a jacket and pants. I had bought the wool knit at the 30 off price which I liked, so I bought some more. It will be perfect for bindings on some black and white sweater knits.

thanks for the tip on 20% everything at fabric.com! I grabbed some beautiful faux chinchilla fur I've had my eye on for months plus some other discounted stuff, too. Not that it was really discounted once I added on international shipping (I ummed and ahhed about posting it to my mom's house since she's likely to be coming over in the next few months, but decided I'll probably want spring fabrics by the time she comes!).

The fabric.com sale code ends tonight at midnight, fyi.

I tried to be a good girl and resist the 20% off sale at Fashion Fabric, but uhm, it didn't work.
On Christmas Eve a package arrived with a black wool skirt, navy velour jacket and pants, two stretch velvet tops and a vest and pants for DD.
When I opened the package DH asked what all of that was and I told him. He said it didn't look like clothes at all, and I explained that is was, but it is just "unconstructed"

You enablers, all of you

I bought Queen Anne's Lace Cotton and Just Dotty for Batiste from Gorgeous Fabrics.

I also bought Wool/Cashmere blend, Grey wool, and I know it's a bit bold but I loved it Sunny Stripes.

I even went and looked at Fabric.com but managed to stop myself. I soooo don't need any more fabric right now and I even have a $100 gift certificate to my local awesome fabric store that I'm sitting on for some spring stuff.
