I have a queen size quilt that I'm thinking of renting a longarm machine at a quilt store and using that to quilt it... anyone give me an idea of how many hrs for a queen size quilt? I've done a full size with my machine, but it was hard on my back/shoulders....
thanks

I dont really know it might depend on the pattern and how well you and the machine gel together. I use a SA frame at home at that still takes me several hours to finish.
The lady that hires out her LA machine here insits that the users practice on a charity quilt first to make sure they are savvy before they embark on their real project.

do you think it's possible in 6 hrs? I think the charge is $15/hr plus a set up fee...
thanks,
