I have to say that I am a dreadful ironer. My husband gets 1 shirt ahead of what he wears ironed generally. If I am feeling generous, I will iron a group of 3 as a treat.
However, I am a very dedicated ironer in my sewing. I was wanting some advice re ironing sheer fabrics - firstly what temp/fabric setting would you iron a poly sheer and secondly what temp/fabric setting do you "add" starch? How much steam would you use? Thanks in advance! Natasha

Natasha your husband is better off than mine. I do not iron his shirts ever. If he wants a pressed shirt he does it himself.

Sorry I have no tips about ironing or starching sheer fabrics.

I use a pressing cloth and minimal heat. When I have starched sheers, I do so very lightly, and let it sit for several minutes before I press as above.

I think on my iron it's a 2 setting, which is for silks. I also test scraps very thoroughly before I touch iron to fabric.
