I've read a little bit about the needles that the Janome coverpro 1000 requires. I went to Allbrands.com and purchased Organ 15x1sp needles. On the order I added a note saying that I wanted to verify that the Organ needles were compatible before they sent the needles to me. Allbrands told me over the phone today that they are the same as Schmetz elx705 but I'm not so sure. Can anyone answer this for me? I'm not sure if I should send these back or not. Thanks so much.

Curious, why didn't you just order Schmetz ELx705? They should be readily available.

You can also order the Schmetz ELx 705 needles directly from Schmetz. There's a $10 minimum, but they don't charge for postage.

BTW, it looks like the needles you ordered are compatible according to allbrands website. Just don't use them in your sewing machine.

knana,
I'm wondering why I ordered them too. When I ordered I trusted that Allbrands would sell me the correct needle. Of course, I went back to patternreview and couldn't find the exact name of the Organ needle I needed to order and the 15x1SP is what I came up with on the Allbrands website.
I reordered schmetz needles today and this is what it said on my email confirmation. "Schmetz ELx705 CS flat shank home serger machine needles. Like Organ 15x1SP for Bernina, Pfaff, Viking, Elna, etc."
Seems like they are advertising them as an equivalent. They also emailed me today and said they were the same. I just needed confirmation from the experts on patternreview.
I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'll send them back. Hopefully they won't charge me a restocking fee.

They are the needles used in the Imagine Wave serger.
