I recently taught two sewing camps for kids and I was so pleased at how well things went. One little girl (age 7) was especially excited to be sewing. After camp was over she brought me an Italian charm bracelet that has a sewing machine on it. Such a sweet and meaningful gift. I was totally unaware of the popularity of such things--I simply loved it because it has a sewing machine on it. Now I want to find more sewing-related charms to go on the bracelet. Anyone know of online sources for sewing-related charms?

Silly me - I have never even looked for sewing related Italian charms. I will look in our local jewellery stores but here are some links for the moment.... I love sewing

Maria, Here are some pretty inexpensive ones. Here is another site. It looks like ther is a charm for any interest. Look at this Native American charm you may like. When I did a google search Italian charm lots came up. http://www.google.com/search?....e=utf-8

Here are some detailed sterling silver sewing charms that I uncovered. I thought this was neat- they have quilt block charms, too.

Maria: I found the charms els had posted. They were on ebay and I snatched them up right away. When you liked them too I emailed the seller and got this response:
"Hi Mary and thanks for your inquiry! We carry the sewing charms in continual stock and you can purchase them direct from us at our web-store at: www.manyhorses.com/store.htm
you will find a link to Charms there and please~send everyone over!!LOL
Also, the sewing charms come in gold tone as well. They arent on the web page because we are temp out but will have them in next week. ;-)"
They seemed to be very responsive but I've never bought from them before.
OK now I don't feel so greedy! LOL I wanted them to wear when I teach sewing classes next winter.

Maria: the prices were the same! and I've just had a lovely chat with one of the owners, a lady who used to sew but is now too busy with the business. I sent her the PR url. Hope we see her here, 'cause she seems really nice. ebay seller name is mschwab_manyhorses so no funny business with the names, etc.
