I just opened up my current issue of Threads and Liana is in the current issue with an excellent article on creating matching shoes for a garment!

Way to go, Liana!!! What a great article!

I apologize is someone has posted this already.

Don't we usually get some heads up when we have a celebrity in the house? I was surprised, but thrilled to see her pic when I opened my magazine. It's a really good article too.

Those shoes looked fab... right out of the storefront perfect!

made me want to try it. I especially liked the tools section where it said a butter knife would do for prying the sole loose... The edges on her shoes in the photos looked so perfect, I am searching for shoe terms for " at the top" where the heel joins the sole and at the bottom cap thing.. is that a heel tip? Her samples just looked perfect! I was very impressed...

Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my article! I can tell you it is very thrilling to get to do an article for Threads Magazine, but it's been almost more fun to share it with all my sewing friends.

I knew it was coming out in the fall, and I thought I knew which issue, but it actually hit the mailboxes sooner than I thought it would, so I was surprised, too.

Wow Liana, that was YOU?!!! I read the article and was FASCINATED. I had no idea you could do that with shoes. I admire Threads for choosing in-depth, creative articles - not the run-of-mill 'you could read it anyway fare,' and your article was no exception!

Congrats on the article!!!
