Ok, the title is a little counterintuitive, but I shortened a pair of no-iron pants and can't get the hem to stay sharp. Any tips, either with ironing or the alteration to make the hem not look like it's just been folded under?

Would edge stitching be appropriate?

ghoties - I usually just keep bumping up the heat on the iron until I get one that works. Use your off-cuts to test, of course. Adding water with a press cloth helps as well.

You can try this:

Rajah Press Cloth

I've never used one so I'd be interested to hear if it works. Looks like it works best on fabric with a polyester content of 50% or more. I guess you need to make sure you want that crease where you use it!
