just another reason I have to have one! LOL. thanks for sharing this. I've never seen the "green" label applied to sewing machines before.

Chances are that most sewing machines are "green"...but WOW - what a selling point in this era of "greeness". They thought of it first.

I thought any eco friendly appliance needed a label stating the fact. I could be wrong though. Maybe those that have one of the Exceeds could check. There might be a notation in the manual about the machine being green, too. Do you know of other brands that tout greenness? This is the first I've heard of it.

Wow, these Juki's maybe greener than Elna's little mechanical "Sew Green" machine.
Being that the Elna Sew Green model is only green in regards to it's color.

I got an electric sewing machine after I got tired of pulling the "starter rope". Kept waking the family up too!~

Wouldn't mass producing these not be "eco friendly"? I mean, how much energy do they expend making the machine itself? This is a tough question to answer for me.

Very good thinking. Maybe Juki feels they're expending less energy in manufacturing a green machine than otherwise. Who really knows. We love technology, but it does create more problems than I think we're able to cope with. If the Juki's are the only greener sewing machines, I wonder what's in the others?
