I have been trying for 3 days to make a purchase of elastic & thread, plus a few bargains on sale, from Joanns. So after failing for the last 2 days, I got up early this am and started. After I placed the 3rd spool of thread in my cart, and went on to the elastic section, I noticed there were on 2 items in my cart. After placing the elastic in my cart, there were still only 2 items in my cart, then on to the next search, poof, nothing would download and finally got the same Joanns screensaver I have gotten for the last 2 days! Anyone else out there having the same problem??? Any secrets on getting an order placed????

I feel your pain. I've been trying to place an order since Friday morning and am not having any luck. The site says will honor prices until monday or when when they sell out. Somehow, I have a feeling that what I want will be sold out, naturally. The price was too good to be true, so I have little hope.

Yes, I only was able to get on once to look around, then the site kept saying they were updating it. Decided to just drive to the store, but bought much less than I would have online.
(which may have been a good thing )I was able to at least get into my e-mail from them to print coupons.

Received an apology e-mail from JoAnn Fabrics with a coupon for free shipping. Sale will last until midnight tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 2.

They said that they were aware it was a "challenge" to get into their website. LOL How about impossible?

I tried all weekend to get on and just got the same message. Monday morning I actually did get on and bought a 10-drawer storage cabinet --almost identical to the one on sale for $25 -- for $42. I couldn't figure out what prices they were honoring, and of course, no one offered me the cart for $25 or said anything about taking off the $8 in shipping. I decided not to press my luck by inquiring because was afraid I would not be able to conclude the order. The phones were not answered so just went ahead. Before I could print my order, I was knocked back to a previous page showing my Visa info. I almost repeated the process but decided to check my e-mails first. My order was confirmed there -- so glad I didn't obey my first impulse.

I am happy with my purchase, even at a higher price. I still paid $18 less than Nancy's Notions. I could have gotten shipping for $5 but the cart was $60 there. If I had driven 35 miles, I'm sure the carts would have been gone -- last year they only got in 10 and they were gone almost immediately, so I think I came out ahead -- as long as I don't say anything to DH about the order.

We were staying with DH's mother, who doesn't have Internet access and who is hours away from any Jo-Ann's store. We had to keep going up the hill to his sister's house and kept getting error messages from Jo-Ann's web-site all weekend. By the time the site came back up, all the items I had wanted to buy were sold out We didn't get any coupon offers either for our trouble.

We were definitely not impressed by the way Jo-Ann's handled the situation - there was no excuse for the site being down that long.

I finally gave up on Sunday. I too was trying to order the 10 drawer cart, and the price was the same as the previous poster plus the $8 shipping. I decided not to order it on pure principle. It felt too much like a bait and switch to me and (truthfully, just pissed me off) so I shall keep my money for another sale. They also said they would honor their sale prices until Monday or when they ran out and since they didn't do so.....
I'm not sure I will honor Joann's with my hard to come by money in the future.

Whenever I've had problems ordering on the website, I just call customer service and they've always taken the order for me, and applied the appropriate discounts and sale prices.

I notice they have sent out an e-mail apology for the difficulties, extended their weekend specials, and are offering free shipping and other offers through tonight (Dec 2)
