Hi PR family!!

Had to share the good things happening...but first a quick re-cap of the last few weeks:

DH applied for and interviewed for job, felt good about interview, but didn't think he'd get it; found out twit that he currently works with got the other position that he (DH) had applied for - DH trained this guy and the only reason DH wasn't considered was because he hadn't finished his college classes for his BA degree; employee that had moved up from FL and that was a good friend of DH decided it was best for his family if he stayed in FL (family was still there), so DH is losing a peer, grounded, Christian friend.

DS brought home another D on his report card - all because he wasn't turning in his work and didn't bother to take the time to make it up. SOLs were this past week and he was nervous; getting frustrated with everything - school, karate, having to do chores, etc.

DD, blissfully ignorant of everything else decided to revert to baby talk in one minute and teenage attitude the next

and me, well, I'm trying to get in shape for my 20th reunion (6/19) while keeping food that the family likes and whatnot, trying to get things sewn up: for myself, the kids, my business, and the craft fair and county fair.

Ok....that was the history....now to the good stuff

Found out that DH has progressed to the next step for the job - verification of military service, etc. Hasn't been offered the job yet, so no idea of salary, etc.

Found out the DS has improved so much that he is more than likely bringing the D to a B or better, which, according to the deal between him and hubby, means that he (DS) gets a new bike (he outgrew his old one, but it's the perfect size for DD).

DD is starting to speak properly, though she still gets frustrated from time to time...the baby talk is decreasing because she finally gets that I really will put her back in a high chair and pull ups if it continues (found a pullup in the back of the linen closet and put it in her room as a reminder...mean to some, but it's working).

And me...I've only lost 5 pounds, but have toned up enough to go from a size 14 to a size 12...5 weeks!! Now on to the next step to drop another 8 pounds in the remaining 22 days....might not make it, and that's ok, but it's a nice goal to shoot for.

So freakin' happy right now....had to share!!

All thumbs-up for Larisa! How in the world do you get all A-plus-es for every single member of the household at the same time on the same day!?!

My hat is off to you & I stand in awe & amazement!

You're going to enjoy & have so much fun at that reunion, looking like you just stepped out of that cap & gown day before yesterday.

'Way to go!

HOnestly, the only thing I can come up with is prayer and hard work. Maybe this is just our time to come out of the storm...

I won't get down to HS weight...after 20 years and 2 children, it's physically impossible unless I do it in an unhealthy way...I was 125-130 when I graduated. That's getting into dangerous territory for me...still call myself a recovering anorexic even though my current weight should mean "recovered". There's always that fear that I will revert back to that in an effort to drop pounds, but I know it isn't healthy, so I keep forcing myself to have "something" 5-6 times a day....now it's amped up in protein and carb monitoring, but at least I can have potatoes now...first part of this I was told "no white foods"....

I just hope this upswing can last for quite a while...then a nice plateau at a high point would be great...lol

The only thing that is bothersome is that the friend I'm staying with is upset that she isn't losing more (but she also works a desk job whereas I work at home, my own schedule, and therefore have more time to put towards exercise), and I don't want her to feel bad.....phooey

Life always has its ups and downs..and always has a way of working out in the end.. We are always impatient to find out the ending of any endeavor.. Its the waiting for progress and answers that we simply can't stand.
So glad you have your priorities straight Larisa.. Family ... And you know life moves quickly..even faster when you are older.
We miss you much.. but will be here when you have the time ..

hey..trying to keep up...have numerous reviews to post, and that is something I am hoping to do this weekend (kids don't have off MOnday due to all the snow days the had).

Am going to start scheduling chats on my calendar - that's how I make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be....we actually have 3...1 that travels in the car with me and gets taken inside once a week, one on the fridge for the family, and 1 in my workroom....that way nobody can say they didn't know ahead of time...so...shats are going to be getting added - in INK - so that I can make sure I'm getting "ME" time every week....other than hot soaks and exercises...lol
