Help!!! I need some cotton knit fabrics for women's summer dresses, and have on JA and Hanc. here. Which sites have a good selection of cotton knits? I have never shopped for fabric online before. Thanks for your help.

Try fabric.com. They have a good selection of knits, ship quickly & if you buy over $35 shipping is free.

I would be really careful with Fabric.com- their service is great, but their prices and quality are pretty much right in line with Joann's.
There are a lot of online stores out there- which is most important to you: cheap, great service, good quality or a huge selection?

I really like spandexworld.com's cotton/lycra jerseys. They have lots of solid colors and a few prints. Plus they send free swatches.

I prefer Emmaonesock for her rayon liycra knits. She often has some cotton knits, but they are harder to find. Her quality is the best.

I second fabric.com. I like their stuff, and it's reasonable priced. fashionistafabrics.com has some nice stuff too.
Like someone else said, you have to take into account what's best for you i.e quality vs. budget. Emmaonesock has great stuff, i'm sure, it's just a bit out my price range.

Wazoodle has very nice, casual knits at good prices. Their knits are more casual (cotton, bamboo etc.) and therefore more affordable than Emmaonesock. I love Emmaonesock, too, but I don;t think she has much cotton knit.
Sewbaby also has quality cotton knits. Sewbaby markets their fabric toward children's clothing, but they have solid colors perfectly acceptable for adult clothing.

I'll also throw in sewzannesfabrics.com and thefabricfairy.com for reasonably priced, decent quality knits. Both offer excellent service.
If you are looking for higher-end or even designer fabrics, along w/ EOS I'd recommend marcytilton.com and elliottbermantextiles.com. Yummy stuff. I don't know what they have presently, but both have had nice cotton knits in the past. They also stock rayon and silk knits regularly.

I absolutely have to disagree with this. Fabric.com often has lower prices than Joann's and the quality is much better. The selection is much much better. With fabric.com you can be sure to get the amount of yardage you purchase and you get a guarantee that you will be satisfied. AND the customer service is excellent.
Just had to defend one of my favorite places.

NAYY[/quote]I agree with Lincee. Plus, if you don't like it, it's easy return. They provide a shipping label & pay for the return shipping. How great is that!
