Ohhhh, I have all these projects everywhere....many started, some to start, many almost finished. I don't have the "umph" to start. Been doing everything else on my list but this! Put the almost finished dbuttondown shirt on my uniquely you....and pause. Anyone have any suggestions for that jumpstart to sew????

I get this a lot too but you know what? Your post has just prompted me to get off my butt and over to the sewing machine.

Here's a challenge for you: it's 4pm EST now. Report back in 2 hours. If you sew more than me, I'll give you a virtual something nice (I have no imagination at the moment - I'm too busy think about what to sew .....)

I'm off!

Good for you! I sewed a few strips for a scrap quilt on my new-to-me Singer 66 treadle. Since you actually finished something whereas I just added to my pile, YOU WIN!!!!!

PM me your real email if you want your virtual prize!

To Mary: yes, this was fun, it made me race out of my chair to the sewing machine for 45 minutes then life got in the way and I had to run errands. Did you join us?

Re: Getting restarting sewing (posted on 6/8/13 11:10 AM ET)
Fun--it sounds like a virtual sewing flashmob! We should do this more often. I have a couple projects in the end stage, and mending to do. Anyone out there who wants to try?

Turn on some music and just do it. You will soon forget to take out the dog or start dinner, unless you have a dog like mine who reminds me when it is 4 o'clock and time for his walk and THEN I can start dinner. lol

No unfortunately. All kinds of real life things are in the way right now but I hope to be sewing again soon!

(At least I can peek in here when there's work to do on the computer!)

I like this - How fun a virtual sewing flashmob

Jef - Thank you! What a really great idea to give, and get some sewing mojo!

hmm I've got to finish quilting a big project and I'm nearly there, but lost my momentum earlier. A sew along would be fun!

Anyone else? It is Saturday noon West Coast. I will be at my sewing machine at midnight tonight, want to join?

Debbie in Arizona - Will check in at midnight to see if anyone else is sewing.

I have a great enthusium for sewing, but lack talent to be great.
