I have been looking for some slinky fabric-preferably the heavier weight stuff in black and other dark colors. I love this fabric for pants etc but can't seem to find any. I did find some sort of knit and made a few pairs of pants from it-it is not slinky but heavier-it kind of looks like slinky on one side but the fabric has less stretch.
So anyone know where I can get a wrinkle proof knit fabric that is comfy but fadeproof for pant/jacket making?
I would be forever grateful!

Contact Emma Seabrooke in Florida. Can't give you her e-mail off the top of my head but she advertises her own knit patterns in many of the sewing magazines. Maybe someone else can give it to you. She has nice goods, but in pieces.

Spandex World and Denver Fabrics both have a large selection of slinky.

Be sure to get the acetate slinky. Not poly.

Sewsally, what's the difference between the acetate slinky and poly slinky? Beside the obvious (fiber content), I mean.

I bought some wonderful, heavy acetate slinky from EOS. She usually carries it in the fall. If you don't see it on her website, send her an e-mail.

I don't know specific differences between acetate versus poly slinky I just know that you want the acetate. I found the acetate MUCH easier to work with. I think it holds up better too.

Heck, I might have some I would be willing to sell you. I check my stash. Though for how heavy it is, it might be cheaper for you to purchase from another dealer who might not be charging by weight to ship like I would have to.
