So there I was, checking CL as I do daily, with all the spelling variations possible, when I stumbled upon a seller with 2 featherweight tables for sale.

Naturally, I felt it necessary to rescue said FW tables. I emailed and agreed I'd come by Saturday (tomorrow) morning to pick them up. The seller is almost an hour out of the city, but it's a beautiful drive.

By the time I got home & done work for the week, after a very late night last night doing the schmoozing at a charity function, I was so exhausted, I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything all weekend.

So I opened my email, prepatory to begging off with the FW tables seller, and there was an email awaiting me from the seller.

She just wanted to let me know that she also had a white Featherweight for sale. She'd show it to me tomorrow when I come for the tables, in case I'm interested in buying it, too.

$50.

It sure is beautiful out, all the leaves turning colors. A nice drive in the valley to clear the city grime and workweek fog from my head sounds fabulous, don't you think?

No way. I'm sure PP will be so sorry she did this to you, that she will volunteer to take it off your hands.

I don't think LynnRowe's talent can be taught. She's clearly one of those extremely rare individuals who are born "Featherweight Whisperers". They seek her out, not the other way around. When she walks down dark streets at night, featherweights accustomed to lurking in the safety of the darkness suddenly lose their fear of humans and begin trailing along behind her, begging for attention. It's true that she sometimes has to entice the most skittish ones out of the shadows with an offer of a spa treatment, but inevitably they too soon join the throngs of happy machines milling around at her feet.

It's an awe-inspiring sight to see LynnRowe in action with her ever-growing pack. Such control. Such confidence. Her skills are even more astounding when you consider how inherently dangerous featherweights are....

If all of this wasn't so unbelievable, it would probably make a
good PBS documentary.

You could never finish writing the script.. take my word for it. I tried, and could not keep up with her FW fiascos..er.. acquisitions..

I was actually CALLED AWAY from my hibernation, borrowed a computer and here I am.. when I heard how some misguided individuals were blaming poorpigling.. dragging my name through the mud..

So at least NOW I KNOW how much to pay Lynn for that white FW.. which will look fab next to the black one she better be buying for me soon. Have a nice trip.. drive carefully..

At what point is it OK to stop being all a-happy & excited at yet another LynnRowe FW find? 20? 30?

My jaw already has a permanent bruise from dropping to the desk.

TWO tables? AND a white FW? (psssst.....does anyone remember her declaring that she has NO interest in the whites? hmmmmmm?) We already know that "No more!" is meaningless....

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.....my green side is showing.....

Seriously .... You have a special gift, you featherwhisperer you, & the rest of us SMAD mortals can only enjoy it from afar......
