Starting bid was only $85nz (around $65USD), so managed to convince the famdamily that it would be the perfect combination of my birthday/Christmas present.

After 10 days of watching with baited breath, the auction finally was due to end last night.
Then a bid. NO! NO NO! I hung out, watched the price go up, and then I bid.. I was in the lead! Until someone else outbid me. The bidding war went on for quite a while - Over here, if bids are placed in the last 2 minutes, the auction extends for another 2 minutes, wonderful if you're a seller, not so wonderful if you're the buyer in a bidding war haha. Think it continued for around another 8 minutes or so.

So I placed another max bid of 400, still within the limit given to me from the famdamily. It got down to 1minute to go, 53 seconds, 40 seconds, 26 seconds, 23 seconds, 15 seconds, 10 SECONDS, 5 SECONDS, 0 SECONDS!

I won it... for $395 ($300usd). What an absolute BARGAIN! :D
Was part of an estate sale, the seller mentioned he had no idea what the machine was worth, but that it was in excellent condition and had barely been used.
They retail new for $2000, so it really was a wonderful price in the end.

I'm so excited. But because it's for Christmas, does this mean I can't use it for another 2+ months?

I'm absolutely thrilled, have been drooling over the Imagine for years. And everyone has been puzzled as to what to get for Christmas for me, so it couldn't have worked out any better.

Can't wait to go and get it Wednesday!

Congratulations - what a great price! You will LOVE it. I think you will at least need to test it before Christmas, don't you think? Maybe test it on a few things
