I DID IT!!!! (Moderated by Pyrose)
Posted on: 10/23/10 10:59 AM ET

It worked as I hoped! I discovered the layout option on my PR-770 after successfully embroidering my first scrap yesterday ... which includes rotating the design and adjusting the size, so this morning (headache gone for now) I fired up a real test of the design I plan to put on my sleeves ... I will be doing the real thing in black thread, but this is the size and orientation that will work for me

I've been intimidated by all the instructions that came with my machne - it has three different operator manuals! But since I really want blackwork embroidered sleeves on this ... I decided to just put on my big girl panties and do it. Oh ... maybe I'm easily amused, but tear-away stabilizer really does tear away.

Yes, I DO love fabric!!

Nice going! So happy to see that you actually pulled the machine out of the box.
That design will look good on the sleeves.

I was out of the box since the day I got the box ... it just wasn't out of the plastic baggie!
And your advice and encouragement did help make this possible.
Update: The sleeves are sewn, in black, and I am very pleased.

Oh dfr, that is pretty, was it a design you had from somewhere, or preloaded on the machine.
And the black thread didn't give you any fits then either? I never had an issue with my Brother machines either, but have heard of others having problems.
Yeahhhhhhh you did it!!!!!! More to come later, hahaha.
Say ppl, did you get your new machine up and running as well yet????? Inquiring minds want to know!

It's a preloaded design in the Brother, rotated 90 degrees and enlarged. Absolutely no issues with the black thread - another reason to be pleased. This was the Metrosene I bought yesterday at Hancock on sale. I may go back for more.
