I want to sew a 6 sided box & can't seem to figure out how to sew the top and bottom onto the 4 sides. I'm sure there's a trick ... something easy, no doubt, that I just can't seem to process!!

Please tell me!

Thanks bunches.

Alternative Windows, How to Sew a Box Cushion

Note that you leave the seam allowances on the 4-sided box (the "sides" of the box) open on the ends; that is, don't sew the entire seam on the sides, leave a seam-allowance length at each end not-sewn.

In the second illustration, you can see how, when you go to sew the bottom (or top) of the box, the seam allowances of the "sides" pieces "open up" and lay at 90-degree angles at the corners of the seam allowance of the bottom/top piece.
