Has anyone ordered from Fashion Fabrics Club lately? I haven't in about a year, and I'm wondering if their service has improved any. I DON'T want to turn this into a trashing post; I'm just genuinely curious because they have some fabrics I'm interested in at the moment...

Any recent success stories?

I've always had pretty good service with FFC. Are you sure that you aren't thinking of FabricClub.com? They were getting a lot of complaints a while back.

I've ordered from Fashion Fabric Club several times in the last year and had excellent service! I've been happy with the fabric and prices too.

Hmmm...maybe it was FabricClub.com, but I could have sworn it was Fashion Fabrics Club. In any case, I'm glad to hear that at least 2 people have had good experiences lately! When I ordered from them in the past, the only thing that I noticed was that their shipping was slooooooooow. But, since I'm not in a rush I figure it doesn't matter!

Thanks :)

I've always been pleased with FFC, except sometimes for the time it takes to receive stuff. It's not forever, but it's closer to 2 weeks than 1 week and my instant gratification gene doesn't always like that.

I'm another happy FFC shopper. Have loved everything I've gotten from them, although I'll agree with Debbie that it's not as quick as other places I've ordered from.

So do tell, Tabitha, what's got you enticed?

I got an order just yesterday of the rust stretch linen (premium) and some navy Asian print slinky (clarity). I ordered on December 29th and received it 10 days later. Sometimes they let me know the order has been shipped, sometimes not. The last two orders--not. This is definitely not instant gratification.

I have a question. Has anybody let their membership lapse and still kept ordering? My membership expired a few months ago and everytime I order, they tell me my membership is past due and tell me to renew by a certain date. I'm still getting the swatches regularly. Do you think they'll ever tell me to get lost?

I let my membership in FFC lapse and still got swatches for a couple of years. I got a notice again this fall and have not received any swatches (sniff, sniff, waaaaahhhh). I'm sure when I send my upcoming order, this will change.

Other than the slow shipping, I LOVE FFC. When I lived in St. Louis, I used to go to their store, too. They are very nice people and they have really good prices.

Alrighty then! I have not yet succumbed to the tempatation of FFC, but I think I will have to soon. A dear friend is getting married this summer and I have an Audrey Hepburn type dress with jacket I want to make up, but have not chosen fabric for. It will soon be time to start looking as shipping across the border can soemtimes take 2-3 weeks longer than regular shipping. Do you have to be a member? Are the prices worth it?

Lorna,
I've been getting swatches from Fashion Fabrics Club for several years -- many during which I never ordered from them -- and I've never joined or paid anything to them! I'm not even sure how I originally got on their mailing list but I sure enjoy the swatches! Now that I order regularly, I'm assuming they'll just keep sending them. I don't know -- I haven't looked -- but there's probably a place on their web site to sign up.
