Until I get carpet in my sewing room, my peddle is on hardwood and I'm constantly chasing it around. It won't stay put!!!! Those devices I've seen in some catalogs, would they work on hardwood? I'm about ready to duct tape this sucker to the floor!

Shelf liner (the open weave rubbery stuff) is cheap and easily cut to size. I also use it under the legs of my sofa to keep it from sliding on hardwood.

Mine slides even on carpet!!! I'll try the mousepad...the shelf liner stuff doesn't work on carpet....grrr.

For a carpeted floor, just stick some Velcro under it. Works great!

I used the blue gum, for sticking posters on a wall, to hold them on hardwood.

I've been using the velcro on the peddle on a carpeted foor -- works like a charm!

If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

All good suggestions and yes, I would not hesitate to duct tape the pedal to a hardwood floor ... why not? --Lily
