Don't know how I misplaced directions. I thought this was supposed to be a good interfacing.

I was going to use to interline ( underline?) Joanns brocade. It's beautiful.

Making a vest. Have spent weekends and days making muslins, fitting, tracing patterns. Cutting out fabric, lining, interfacing. Man, I'm slow, and a perfectionist

Getting ready to fuse, cannot find directions. I bought 10 yrds of this stuff, hope it's good stuff.

I remember reading where Erica B. made a jacket out of the same fabric, but, I can't find her review on patternreview. It was a beautiful jacket.

She did say she blocked fused but I don't belive she said exactly how and what brand of tricot interfacing she used.

So, I'm going to do a sample.....Please send all good advise!

I checked her blog for you and she just mentions fusing in passing. But you can email her : [her full name] AT [her full name] Dot com

why don't you check the Go Chanel or Go Bust blog for more info. IIRC, not every one there did the classic Chanel construction.

Good luck!

Hi, Thanks for the help.
I fused a scrap for practice and to try out stiching and buttonholes. It seemd to turn out ok

So I went ahead and fused the fabric pieces. I trimmed 1/8 in off around the edges to make sure not to get any glue on anything.

I do belive the fusi knit shrunk even though I put the whole amount I bought in a bath tub of warm water til cool and hung to dry. Water not warm enough?

I fused a wrinkle in the first piece. So after that, after fusing each iron size section I lifted up the press cloth and checked that everything was still smooth. Smoothing as I went.

Next time I'll do the spray and steam shrink also like in the link.

I was just worried about getting too hot for the brocade

I think block fusing would have been the way to go. Way less time consuming fiddling around. Cut out once! Would need a bigger area than an ironing board though. Another tool I need.
