This is just a shot in the dark. I ordered books/charts for my Pfaff 4874 on Oct. 5 but haven't received them. Despite repeated efforts to contact her and one brief reply promising to look into it, she has not fulfilled the order. It is now too late to get the credit card charge reversed by the cc company, so I'm out of luck. Does anyone know her or have further contact info for her? I really want the books/charts.

Did you check with the credit card company? I can't imagine that if you didn't receive the merchandise you are completely out of luck with them. It might take writing a letter.

You might also try sending her a certified letter. DH has had some success sending certified letters in certain situations, I guess it seems more threatening.

You could also try contacting the Better Business Bureau and see if they are able to assist.

The cc company says 60 days is the allowed period for challenges, so I'm out of luck there. Thanks for the other suggestions, both good ideas.
UPDATE: Linda emailed me again to say she'd get my order out. She cited the abysmal Michigan economy; it sounds like dreadful circumstances that are taking a heavy toll both financially and emotionally on people there. I do sympathize....

I'm a small luxury service company owner (personal chef) in SE Michigan- yeah, the economy sucks, but she's feeding you a line of BS.

I would let her know, as a courtesy, that you're going to file fraud charges with the police department if you don't have a refund or your stuff by next Friday.

I sure hope she's not feeding bs. Perhaps her problems are more severe than is common there.

I hope you get your book. I have her book for the 4872, and it's very good.

Unfortunately this message board did not pop up when I was researching Linda Lee's books. I am another one who has been "taken". Still blaming the poor economy, can't order the printers parts, etc. Linda has stated she has ordered the parts both in April and June emails. My order was placed in February. Am still trying to work this out.

Seriously bad form. She shouldn't be accepting orders if she can't fulfill them! "Bad economy" is no excuse whatsoever. The law calls it "fraud".

Unacceptable!

Were I you, I wouldn't keep trying to work it out with her. I'd contact the BBB closest to her, and call the Michigan Attorney General's office and find out how to file a complaint. Then send Linda Lee a certified letter telling her that you have initiated the above actions and you expect your order to be shipped to you via overnight shipping or an immediate refund, credited to your account within 2 business days.

She's is not acting in good faith and needs a wake-up call.

My thoughts on the subject, anyway.
