I found a rolling cart at Home Depot which fits Isacord thread perfectly. Each drawer holds 55 spools and there are 6 drawers. One drawer has a support which can't be used for the Isacord but I put my Gutermann spools in that drawer. Thus a cart holds 275 spools of Isacord spools upright and then an additional drawer for what nots. (The drawers also fit those Plano compartment plastic holders that one finds in the fishing tackle area of stores...KMart Walmart etc. Those are perfect for sewing machine feet.) I actually bought a few of these carts as they work so well. The drawers have wheels so you can roll the cart to be right near your machine and even put an ironing mat on top for a quick iron (a Steady Betty is perfect!) I like to have a spot for a quick iron right next to my machine so I can press as I sew. These are similar to the plastic rolling carts but are much sturdier. I was worried about the thread getting bleached in the sun through the clear plastic. The wood looks better in my sewing room. There are numerous sizes...the 15 inch...then the 20 inch which is what I bought . Then there is a high model. I like the lower ones because they can roll under my cutting table .

Thanks for the info! That looks great for a cart that can be close to the machine. I am definitely going to check them out.

PS!!!! You can't see these at the Home Depot store. I looked. They said you could only buy them online. I took a chance. They came fully assembled except for the roller legs. All you need is a screw driver to put those on.

I bought something similar from Value Village a few years ago. I got two carts for $12.00 each. Mine have three shallow drawers and 3 deeper ones. The shallow drawers are perfect for scissors, bobbin rings, thread lying down etc.

The funning thing is, when I got the carts home and started to fill the drawers I discovered that one of hte larger drawers was full of unused condoms. There must have been a hundred or more in the drawer. The best before date was good.

My guess is that the carts were donated by a medical office, needle exchange or some such agency and the one drawer was not emptied out.

Thanks for letting me know! Now I don't have to trek several miles, I just have to click the link and order. I am definitely going to order a couple, they look perfect for all kinds of things.
I have my thread in plastic rolling carts. Which is fine, there is no sun in the basement. However, I really want to get my machine feet out of those darn Bernina barbie boxes, and I have several other items that I think these would be perfect for. I love the height for putting the pressing surface on as well. I really miss my Koala rolling cart that I used to use for that and other storage. I think these will be a great replacement, if not actually better.

I HATE those Barbie boxes!!!! My feet are in the Plano compartments in the drawer of the rolling cart...I open the drawer and I can see everything. I took the cover off the Plano and labeled all my feet. My feet fit my various Bernina's so I can just roll the cart between the machines. Plus all the sewing notions can just go between machines. These just are more sturdy than the plastic ones. The 20" wide size is really a good size and the only plastic carts I have found are 12"...not near as handy. Hope you find these as nice a I have.
BTW..they come in white and black and the oak is a honey color...not dark and not overly grainy.

That looks good! I'd been looking at this one to put my projects in, but I like the wood look on the HD one.

Can you tell me if the cart is 26" high with or without the casters? I think this is just what I am looking for. Thanks for posting.
