Well I think I am 99.9% cured of last years affliction SMAD.
I've sold on 3 machines and am sewing on the ones I've got left. I am not lusting after any machines at all at the moment.
This is new ground for me. Kind of scary.!!
I hope this continues and is not replaced by something like fabric addiction or something.

I hear you. I'm going to be putting in an offer on another house tomorrow (and then packing up to move), so I think packing and moving my sewing machines will well and truly cure me from wanting more. Until i get my basement sewing room (MUCH bigger) set up and ready to go ;)

Well, there's always crack or meth...

Nope . she will move on to fabric.. or such..
Good luck with your rehab Carrie.. I thought when I bought my JUKI I was cured also.. but after a few months I fell off the wagon.. and went on a buying binge.. ending this month with the Blue mini I hope. I do see hope though.. I hope I run outta room to store any more machines.. thats what I hope. Maybe that will cure me..
Of course the crack of this all is the accessories you can buy to go with all your machines..

I'm with you! Last year was the year of SM & fabric acquisitions.
This year is the year of putting them all to use.
I'm working right now on the last major step of getting my little sewing room fully usable. I've had a hole in the ceiling of my sweet little attic room for..oh...4 years now; ever since removing the brick chimney (brick by brick by brick) that used to take up so much real estate. That little nook is a perfect bookshelf area, but it's been an albatross while I tried to figure out how to do what needs to be done.
Here's to actually sewing more!
Oh, &... what's next? Blogging about it all!

I went though SMAD this year but at least in a planned way. My Bernina 630E took over the main space as my 165E needed a SMD board. I did replace it. I thought "why do I need a backup for embroidery"? Why? Because my 630E went in for it's free cleaning and I decided I needed to make an embroidered bib for our DGD. Yey 165E!
Bernina 220 - road warrior! Singer 201-2 - sentimental and just plain fun at times. New (to me) Singer 221? The only one I'm not sure of but I just had to have it!
Oh and two sergers - at times the Bernina 1300MDC is doing cover while the 1100D is sergering. Also they back up each other when one goes in for maintence. Like when the 1300MDC went in when I was making my dress for my DSS's wedding.
So all addiction is not bad!

Hi, back again,
Kid bathed and in bed and food in the oven..
Now takes ages as she likes her hair blow dried and her reading books from school have 16 pages!!
10 mins to type.
I have left.
My Bernina 135S about 7 years old. A nice machine to sew on, the only Bernina that has ever felt right for me.
Husqvarna Emerald 122 about 2 years old (not sure about this machine, don't use it much, haven't warmed to it, bought it to take to class, prefer the little Bernina).
Singer 201K 1950's model in Black. Sews lovely, big work area you can cram a quilt in. Has new motor and foot pedal. I have 2 quilt tops waiting to be made up.
Singer 185K not sure about this one either, smaller and slightly portable, bought when really I was looking for a 201.
Most recent machine, Janome 4900. Lovely machine. Does all I need and more. Smooth quiet and feels so easy and comfortable to use.
Bernina serger 800DL. Am learning dressmaking and figured I need a serger. Still have a LOT to get to grips with on it.
So there you go.
Still plenty of machines left.
Now if I really was looking for a new machine I'd consider swopping the Emerald for a Janome gem or something...
