I purchased the Vogue pattern V2829 several months ago, I am anxious to sew this pattern but I cannot find the lace collar and cuffs anywhere!! Does anyone know where I can purchase the lace collar? I have been watching ebay for quite sometime thinking surely someone will put one up for auction. I've looked at our local Joann's but sometimes our JoAnns can be very disappointing. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like you may be able to make a collor out of lace fabric by cutting it, following the edges of the lace design and the shape you want out of some existing lace. Same for the cuffs too.

Were you ever able to locate your collar and cuffs?

I was just ovber at eBay and saw two for sale. Put lace collar and cuffs in the search box and a couple sales will pop up. That one had two days left and was for 99 cents!

I think Sue has it right - it looks like Vogue has appliqued cut lace onto the collar - it appears that the dark collar fabric shows underneath the lace.

It looks like Guipure lace to me, which you can easily cut apart and rearrange to suit your fancy. It's found in the bridal department of good fabric stores....most Jo-Ann's stores won't have it.

If you Google "bridal lace" you'll get tons of sites that sell it on the web...it can be expensive, but you'll need just a tiny amount for that collar & cuffs - like maybe 1/4 or 1/2 of a yard; depending on the width, which varies - lace is not produced standard width like fabric.

It's a great pattern - the lace is a really nice touch,

Phyllis
