I just placed two orders online for fabric!!! Got quite a bit from fabric.com for next to nothing, and bought 4 yds of a Peter Pan cotton print, plus a bunch of elastic (including the good clear elastic) from Wazoodle. Spent just over $100 including shipping for both places, and got way more than I would have at Joann's (probably better quality, too).

Can't wait to get it!!!

Oh, no, Keri. You're in trouble now! There are such great fabrics to be had online you will soon be an addict like the rest of us. Joann is still good for notion and pattern sales.

Yes, I was fairly warned. However, I decided to not listen AT ALL and jumped in without looking! I told DH what I did, and I was a bit worried he'd jump at the cost. When I showed him a Joanns receipt with fabric on it, then the two orders I made online, he said "Looks like you should be buying ALL your fabric online. That's a great deal!" Ohhhh he shouldn't have said that! He just gave me the green light to break us! Seriously though, he's no idiot. He knows a good deal when he sees one!

The two fabrics I'm most excited about are here and here . I'm using both for my DDs Easter dresses (I hope they'll be done in time). The second fabric is for my oldest, as it looks just a bit more grown up. I think they'll turn out so cute!!!

For those of you who've bought from Wazoodle and Fabric.com, how long does it usually take before you get your order?

Keri,

I'm addicted to Fabric.com's stretch poplins. I must have 10 summer skirts I've made from them. They sew up so nice and wear very well. The prints you picked are just adorable.

The last order I placed with them on Feb 27 was delivered on Mar 2. You should get an email from them with the UPS tracking number.

Keric, suddenly I had a flashback and heard my mother's voice:

If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you do it too? (Probably....)

I hope your mother doesn't tell you that you can't come out and play with us anymore because we set a bad example.

Where are we going, and what am I doing in this handbasket?

Karla, I guess it's a good thing my mother doesn't tell me what to do anymore, huh??? No, that's not true....she's got some codependancy issues (don't get me wrong...I love her dearly!), and even though I haven't lived with her for more than 10 years, she still tries to tell me what to do. I suppose I should say it's good I don't listen!!!

Now, if DH says I can't come out and play anymore, I'll have to do some pretty swift talking! Really, though, he loves that I've gotten into sewing!
