Can I get it somewhere besides online? (Moderated by Sharon1952)

I don't know if this is in the right forum or not, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
I have decided it would do me a lot of good to purchase the book "Fit for Real People." I'm a really impatient person, though, and don't want to wait for it to be shipped to me (
yeah...I get annoyed with myself sometimes because of this). I went to the closest Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Joann's today, but no one had it! Borders had it in their system, but apparently they don't carry it in their stores?
Is there another brick and mortar store that carries it, or should I just save my breath (and my gas!!!
) and order it online?
Thanks!
Keri

Save your gas and order it online from P/P and get the spiral version, which you probably wouldn't find in a store anyway. And while you're there, order the serger DVD too.
P/P ships pretty quickly.

See if you can check it out at the library... that's what I did. Then you won't mind waiting for it while it gets shipped to you. :-)

Okay, Debbie...you are such an enabler, it's not even funny!!!
I've got FFRP in my cart, and the DVD, as well. I did go with the spiral bound book. I couldn't find that binding ANYWHERE online, but at the P/P website. My question is...do you think I need to get the serger basics book, too, or will just the dvd suffice???
Thanks! (I think...

Jemgirl...I've been waiting for the last two months for this book to come in. I put a hold on it a long time ago, but I'm hold number 52 out of 65. It's going to be a looonnnngggg time before I see that book from the good ol' public library!
Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I found that my local sew and vac place carried it, along with other great books.

That's too bad. There's a ton a copies in our cities library system so I can get a copy in a couple of days. I guess there are advantages to living in a big city.
I want to get the spiral bound copy one of these days, though. It is worth buying for sure!
Now, if I could just go to the P/P fitting seminar in person... lol

Okay...so I know I want FFRP, but I'm wondering if I should get Fast Fit, or Fitting Finesse, in addition to FFRP? I've read the reviews on both, and they seem to be mixed. I'm just curious, cause I so both of them on Ebay for about $6 each, and shipping is only a few bucks!
I love books, I love to read and learn, and I'm IN A BUYING MODE!!!!

Yeah, I know. I've tried to blame it on this web site (no names were mentioned, promise!), but for some reason DH doesn't believe me!
Hmm..I can't understand why!
