Coupons this week's flyer (26th-1st) for:

60% off one fabric
50% off one fabric
40% off one item (all off reg. price)
50% off entire stock thread

Of course, I have found that they put most of the store at 20-30% off so you can't use the coupons anyway, and our store always argues coupons...maybe worth a try, depending on your location?

If you print extra online coupons, where they say "limit one PER ITEM purchased", THEN our store just says there's a limit of one coupon. **%%$$##!!
When the remnant signs have specifically said "50% off the lowest price marked" the mgr. says, "well, that means they're already marked down 50%."
I have written corporate about this, no response. I suppose some mgrs. are looking at their store's bottom line....

Wow, that's not very nice...I would have a chat with the manager about that.
I only get notions/supplies (pins, needles, bindings, zippers, etc) at JA so I wait for a good coupon to stock up. They have always honored the coupons plus the PR discount.

This happens to me a lot, too. I go in with these "wonderful" coupons, and find that what I want is 30% off. They do not allow you to take 50% off the regular price if the item is on sale. bah!

I need to buy a lot of ambiance lining, and the flyer does not mention it being on sale, so I am hoping to use the 60% coupon. It did look like almost all their fabrics were already on 30% sale though...

It's a good cupon for ambience or for muslin or any time you need a large cut of something. But youre right, dont bother with sale fabric, use the 50 and 60 ones for specific things. I don't buy lots of fabric there anyway, it doesn't hold up. But I like their linen and some of the basics. I bought 15 yds of muslin With the 50% off cupon. That will keep me going for a while. Do you get their texts? They just texted me a 60% cupon. Add that to the one in the flyer and you can make you own sale.

Fortunately, I don't think I've ever seen quilt backing on sale, and I use half-off (at least) coupons when I buy fabric to make sheets.

I took the coupons with me today.

Check the dates - the 60% off fabric one does not apply right away.

I bought some webbing/belting (8 yards) - and was able to use the 40% off coupon on it.

The cashier was sure the discount would not apply to webbing but whoever programs the discounts into the computer system must be considered the Great and Powerful Oz, because once it came up on the computer - the cashier was very happy to let the discount stand!

I have a Beverly's and I try to go there as much as I can even though it's much less convenient because the thought of ONLY having a JoAnn's makes me very, very sad. Beverly's is marginally better than JoAnn's, at least in my town.

I long for the days of local independent shops where they knew you and you knew them. Some of my fondest memories are of shopping at our local fabric store with my mother for patterns, fabrics and trims which she would then sew into back-to-school dresses for me with the sales lady advising, encouraging and applauding our creative choices.

There were no coupons at all, but there was service and somehow, in a fraction of the space, all the selection we needed to create entire wardrobes that constantly drew compliments, back in the day when it wasn't a Federal Offense to innocently compliment someone on their clothing.

Now I have the JoAnn's cash register Nazi with the scarily over-grown and over-decorated fingernails who won't serve anyone if she's "training" a new cashier no matter how long the line gets. But she does usually know the coupon secrets and will share them if she's in a good mood.

Pardon my nostalgia and thanks for the heads up on the current coupons.

The JA's store in my city is moving to a new building. Much bigger and one can hope cleaner.

I think this store is going to be a "super" store. Probably means there will be more crafts?

The old store has all the fabric on bolts with yardage marked. You have to buy the whole bolt. I think the bolts are now down to 75% off.

New store location opens Friday.
