I pieced this scrappy top at the beginning of the year, had it about 1/3 of the way quilted and noticed my tension was whacked. I'd used black thread (on black fabric) and I just couldn't see it well enough to frog it, so I ended up scalping it... that was the first time I'd ever resorted to a razor blade!

Then I reloaded it and quilted it, so at long last it's done! This pattern is called "Flower Boxes" by Heather Mulder Peterson. I used up some of my really old scraps in this one!

LOVE it! Worth the scalping. I have a crib-sized quilt waiting for that treatment. Funny I always have something I'd rather do...

The black is great, I never tire of squares, and the quilting is excellent, worth the effort.

Really attractive! I'm not a quilted, but your quilt made me think, maybe?

Thanks everyone! I use all my quilts, they're made to be used, abused and enjoyed :). Once they get too ratty for the house, they go in our vehicles. Picnic blankets, road trips, whatever :).

I LOVE the pattern and the choice of fabrics was really inspired.
Lovely work on your part. It's great to see what can be accomplished.

Great work!

What batting did you use - it looks like it has some real loft to it?

I love the black -
