My son is sick today so I figured it's a good day to finish my UFOs.
Then my iron broke!!
All the sudden it just shut down and doesn't turn on anymore.
I wonder what happened...

You might try plugging it into another outlet. Sometimes even just unplugging something for a while and then plugging it back in will "fix" it. That worked on our fridge's icemaker last week. Appliances are strange sometimes.......

Unplugging it worked twice on our fridge- the third time it didnt so we were out shopping the day before Thanksgiving for a new one.
Computerized electronics have their drawbacks. My son has our 1980's fridge and its still humming along. I am getting a good thrift store or estate sale plain jane iron.
