I've got the DVD set (Moderated by Deepika)

I'm not sure I'm posting in the right place.
If you have the DVD version of Threads, do you rely on those exclusively? I'm in the mood to purge if the magazines are an unnecessary duplication. I've also pulled out articles and cataloged them in binders, but fell behind on that. I have a laptop, so I can sit comfortably anywhere to browse. Space is at a premium here. What do you think?

I recycled my old magazines when I got the DVD. Space is at a premium here too.

I sent mine to another PR member using the special book rate at the post office.
***Upside Down Edit - Thanks, PattiAnn for the correction on the media/book rate. I must have been thinking of the embroidery media shipment .
You could also take them for your students to look over. Perhaps each could choose an issue and then report back on something in the issue, or, find an ad for rtw that illustrates something they saw in the Threads issue. Or, shoot a photo of something that illustrates something they read about in the issue.

Not suppose to use book rate when the book/magazine has advertising.
Since you have removed some of the pages, give them away. If any of them are intact, you could list them on eBay, although it looks as though nothing is moving in the crafts/sewing/quilting publications.

I'll think about this option of the 8th grade students using them- good idea. We also have a high school with apparel design classes. I could ask if Threads would be useful there. Other than that, it could be free cycle time. Thanks for weighing in everyone.

I'm not ready to give mine up yet! I am not completely in the stage of reading on my iPad, and like the magazine size and layout, and feel. My friend gave me the archive but I use it as a reference to find the article in the magazine and read it there!

I recycled any I had lurking on the shelf, when I got the DVD version.
Any articles that I was particularly attached to got torn out and put in a notebook. I've done this for years, even bef9ore the DVD came out. You can always print a page from the DVD (I think) but not the same quality).

Printing from the DVD is a good compromise idea. Thanks. I'd have the article in hand and could make notes on it for holding my thoughts.

Ask your library of they 1. want them, or 2. participate int he journal exchange that some libraries do and somewhere someone might want these and they would do the work. We frequently have that here. However be quick because libraries are carrying less and less print, but the good news is that the print they carry is usually the fun, entertaining, popular, and hobby sort for general readership.
