What is everyone working on for this special occasion? I will work on the Trip quilt, of course.

On the Missouri Star Quilt Co 's daily deal page, the writer said that quilters wanted a specail day and we got it. The 3rd Saturday in March. Wonderful. She also posted in her blurb (jokingly, of course) about the woman who was the founder of the movement. Nita Lotte Fabric. Get it. (need a lot of fabric...) We all need a good laugh now and then.

Currently working on a boys quilt. Sized 40 x 40 inches. It has chickens, chicken eggs, cows, fish, sea life, afield with water, Dachshunds, mini sailboats, and many colorful other fabrics. The blocks are a 4 x 4 finished size, so many of them are needed.
This my 4th quilt in 7 months.

I am not working on anything, I am sick again. Gads, it is so annoying.

Thursday night I kept getting colder and colder. We usually read a little before bed, but I went straight to bed when we came up, but I couldn't fall asleep and then I started to shiver. DH put five blankets on me, which helped a little, and I was so thirsty I thought I couldn't stand it, so he brought me water and advil.

Then the body aches started. I was weak and dizzy, so he stayed home from work on Friday to help me walk to the bathroom, etc, but in the morning I was better. However, viruses spike in the afternoon, and this one did. I have it again, but each day it has been less so I am on the mend.

I said to the kids that when you get married you promise "in sickness and in health" but when you are young you usually don't really know what that means. And I told them that they were extremely lucky in their father who exemplifies keeping his vows. Of course, they both lived here, they know that, but it doesn't hurt to remind them.

ETA: typos

I'm sorry to read you are sick again. Your hubby sounds like a great man. I hope you get better each day and no more of this sickness.

Gosh Barb that really stinks!

I am absolutely exhausted, but I did have my grandson overnight and he wears me out.

I sure hope you feel ALL the way better soon!

And I have to agree you hubby sounds wonderful.

Well HOORAY for Quilting Day!

I am too tired to do much, I'll probably work on some hexagons later.

GSP is fighting tonight! I hope I can stay awake long enough to see it!

I'm so sorry you are sick! The same icky bad virus ran amok amongst my students a few weeks ago. Lots of rest and fluids. Sleep seems to be the best. It's wonderful you have a caring partner!

RE: Nat. Quilt Day. I'm finishing up the project for the Modern Quilt Guild Challenge. Love the fabric. Love the design. Loathe Half Square triangles, but I've mastered the stinkers.

Bought a new iron to celebrate NQD. Old one de-evolved into Old Faithful geyser, spitting & spewing boiling water everywhere. Made pressing an adventure.

Sorry to hear you are sick again. It just keeps making the rounds at our home too. So glad that your DH was able to stay home with you. Get better soon and rest, quilting will wait.

Sheesh, Barb, what a crummy winter you're having. I pray you get better soon!

The silver lining to my pneumonia was the TLC from my boys. They really took good care of me.
