I hope you're okay and feeling a bit better now
You might need to take a pain reliever for a while.

Do you use 5/8" seam allowances on your fingers?

All the best to you while you heal!

Just so you know, we have probably all nicked a finger here and there. We get so caught up in our sewing that we forget that the needle just keeps going up and done even when our mind is willing it to stop.

Ouch is right. So sorry about your finger. I did that as a teenager sewing on my mom's vintage singer. Nobody went to the ER back then unless it was a matter of life and death. I have not done it since. So painful

WELCOME TO the club dear. Once you run over your finger you NEVER do it again. I know how that goes. You got it out of the way while a beginner. Good for you. I did that and suffered for awhile way back in the early days of sewing - I lost concentration, went to fast and that was that. Finger guards are a good idea, but I have never had one on any machine!

Glad your top is fine!Review it!
