Well!!! Are you going shopping? Most places will open
thanks-giving evening. As for me I will be working one of those all nighters. My store is one of those 8:00 pm openers. We thought at first HAVE THEY GONE OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!! then they said time and a half well that might worth it. I see there a few on the internet offering great prices. I need nothing. I need nothing. Sewing all the way.
So those of you that plan on going out and finding that great price. What time are you starting. Maybe I'll see some of you

Happy Thursday night and Friday shopping!!!!!!

I only ever ventured out in the dark cold pre-dawn hours of the after T Day sales twice and both times (several years apart) were to buy my son a snowboard for a third the price they regularly sold for. That's ONE THIRD.
Only serious amounts of Scots-Irish blood got me up and out that early.

I'm not much of a shopper. I even get gas at a locally owned service station, the kind of place where if you realize your wallet us not in your purse, they say "okay next time you're in". My gifts this year are knitted, purchased at unique local shops or checks/cash.
I will hopefully be home sewing or working on the sewing room....when I'm not knitting.

Skae.. am so terribly sorry you have to work this holiday.. but my son loved it when he was in retail back in college.. as usually they do pay more. or more commissions or more bonuses.. And it is the most exciting magical time for retailers.. Merchandise not normally seen.. the holiday decorations and so on. I just want you to know how much shoppers appreciate all of the retail workers being on duty ..
Unlike you though.. I do need some undies and a couple of bras.. and seeing since you are working anyhow.. and I don't want to go out shopping perhaps you could just purchase them for me and ship them asap... thx in advance..
Bless you Skae.. for helping make the holidays easier for others.. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you..

I am going to stay home. Wait until about the 18th and prices get better, in store or on the internet.
Or just wait until the end of January, which is when I go shopping, usually at some decent afternoon hour.

I think I am the last person on earth who shops only a day or two before Christmas. I also try to shop in small downtowns so I am outdoors. I am not a "christmas" person so this helps get me in the spirit. It is fun to just go with what I find and the prices are fantastic.
Happy Holidays to everyone

PP!
Did the burglars take your undies??
Be careful you don't see them flung up in the mistletoe of the Tx. trees! (First time I ever knew it grew that way.)
I went in Burlington Coat Factory the other day looking for sweaters cuz it's in the 20's and I need 2 layers. Lots of racks but not one sweater would I buy. The quality has gotten so thin, snaggy/saggy, and poor ribbing. Time for sweater-knits, will probably get some done by spring, but for sure hibernating on Black Friday.
Our relative is a county jailer and always misses holidays. I say shove the trays under the bars and say goodbye for the day, they made their choices.

Too bad he did not.. as that HOT PINK bra and panties would make him easy to ID.. You might try LL Bean or Cabelas or such for good sweaters.. Easy to find them online.. and Cabelas has a bargain basement clearance section.. Just read the reviews ...
I will be off PR soon to finish up those twenty desserts.. but wish all of you a Terrific Thanksgiving and a Great Holiday weekend.. Food, family and football.. shopping.. doesn't get any better than that

I may be insane, but I may attempt it for the first time this year. I almost HATE to give the stores what they want! To promote making people work on Thanksgiving kind of sickens me.
But, my kids are young... money is tight this year... and a couple of stores have really good deals on some of the toys they have specifically asked for.
I am going to pick one and go out after our family time is done. If I get there in time I do, if not, I shop later. We will see.
