I hope posting this picture of my FIRST sewn-out-design-in-three+years works!
It is because of all you wonderful, inspirational and kind people, that I could get this accomplished without committing harry-kary!!!
Y'all gave me the suggestion and information on how to get my new computer talking to my sewing machine.
Y'all led me to a design that I fell in love with...
And y'all let me vent and helped me work out the bugs of frustration as I worked to get everything working again.

I also found the perfect design to make something for my family that I think will be really loved.

Here is one of the designs that I found, that is actually a blackwork single color cat....and I tested it on material that I am making a T-shirt blouse with. Instead of using a single color, I put some multi-color thread on the spool and I am just tickled pink with the results. This cat is within Embrodery Library's Wild For Blackwork pack . It sewed out beautifully. My Pfaff girl just purred along, like she never missed a beat, and my wonderful hubby made homemade pizza while I watched her sew this out.....how cool is that? He helped me for hours reading and searching for answers to the problems we were having.
Here's the design.....isn't it pretty?

Well screw it, I went through the instructions for posting a photo...I bet it's my computer. When I hit the Image button, I get a message from the website(?) that I must enter a url...well I am but? I'm not getting the window you show in the tutorial. If ya wanna see it at least until I figure out what my error is THIS TIME...LOL....you'll have 'ta highlite the url and paste it in a search engine. I'm sorry, jumped the gun maybe, but I'm tired of solving computer problems today, lol.

I love your enthusiasm and congrats on your great result! I'd love to see it, but when I googled no match came up for the link you posted.

Try putting a live link in your post. Above the message box where you enter your post, there's boxes to click. One is underlined http:// Click on that one and a new box appears. That's where you paste in your link after deleting the blue highlighted http:// that appears there. So clear the box and drop in your URL link, click ok. Another box will appear that says My Web Page also highlighted in blue. Delete that and name your link. Could be My 1st Embroidery, or First Embroidery Cat, or whatever you like. Click ok and in your post the link will appear in Bold Faced Brown as a live link. We just tap that and we can all get to your image. HTH and that the pizza was yummy!

However she did it, thanks for making the cat appear! Looks just greeeeeat. Smart idea to use the multi-color thread. You're on the embroidery path for sure.

Nice cat! I like the variegated thread there. The trick for me, to get an image to actually show up most times, is that not only do you have to pick insert as an image, but then when you go to paste your URL in there, (if doing that and not hand typing it in) you do have to remember to wipe out and delete the "http://" that is already sitting in that pop up dialog box. Since if you don't and you just pasted anything valid URL wise into there, then you probably got the http:// in there twice in a row and more in duplicate instead. If you do that, (kind of in error) then not a valid URL anymore.

That's beautiful! I can see I'm going to need to order some multi-colored thread!

It's this stupid Windows 8.....I had to switch "sides", so to speak, and get to normal explorer. Some functions don't work well on the "app" side of this OS, so I wasn't even getting the pop-up window to input the url. I switched sides, and functions started working again. I have no clue what the real problem is, AFAIC, it's just this crappy Windows 8. I honestly think Microsoft should issue the new
Windows 9 to those who had to suffer with 8.
