How do you get creases out of fusible interfacing-- especially heavyweight fusible interfacing? Should I just hang it in my closet and hope for the best? Or is there a trick I can use? Please help!

I have wondered about this too... Maybe sandwich between heavy books?

I saw my dress teaching tutor do this trick before. Hover your iron over the creased/crumpled interfacing. Don't touch it of course! blast it with lots of steam. It should relax it all, maybe not as flat as when you bought it, but enough to use.

I saw her demonstrate on a really scrunched up piece and it worked a treat.

It's worth a try. I have the same problem, and should have rolled my inter facings on a tube the day I got them. Who's sorry now...

Pam Erny to the rescue! Last week I noticed this tutorial on wrinkled interfacing on Pam's website. Worth a try!

If it's heavy, can you wet it and lay it flat to dry?

Or lay it on a waterproof surface and spritz it with water? That's what I would do. There is some belief that all interfacing should be preshrunk, like fabric, so how else but get it wet?

I have way too many yards to count, and I will never use them up, but I will die trying!

I do almost the same thing as the tutorial, but I use a non-stick piece/matt, that is made just for that, and I bought it so as not to stick my interfacing to my ironing board.

If it can be done with a needle and thread, I can do it!
