Does anyone have this monster foot pedal? Mine arrived today. It's awesome! It has a very long, sturdy cord that stores on the underside of the control and you can take out only as much as you need. I got it from Ken's Sewing. My daughter suddenly took an interest in sewing American Girl Doll clothing and she chose the DC2010 I had up for sale so I kept it. The original foot pedal seemed to have something going on as it would change the sound of the motor every few seconds.

I recently bought the janome 8900 and the larger foot control comes with the machine. I love it!

Yes, pixiefaire is what got her going. I showed her a cute dress with a free pattern and we made it the next day.

Yes, I love that foot! It's standard with the Elna 760, sister machine to the Janome 8900. It usually stays put on the floor too.

Talking about foot controls, I have the Janome 11000 and it has started hesitating when I press on the foot control - sort of like it has to think about it for a while before it takes off. Is that an indication that the foot control is going bad?

I think it's likely. I had the opposite problem with 2 of my Baby Lock machines...tap a little, the machine takes off at jet speed and nothing in between. In both cases a new foot control was the fix.

The large foot control came with my 9900, and there was an optional satellite smaller control which I use as a foot cutter. I didn't realize the large size was new to Janome, as they've been on Vikings and Pfaffs for quite awhile now, and I'm so used to them. Baby Lock also has the little programmable satellite control on the EGII and perhaps on other models by now.
