Hello,
Would anyone like to suggest some European online shops where they buy their patterns? I am in the Middle East at the moment and shipping from American stores tends to be too expensive.
Thank you in advance :)

Most Burda patterns are available as downloads, so no worries about shipping costs. However, you might be stunned by the prices of the US brands compared to what you pay there, and US prices plus shipping costs might look as cheap, or cheaper, than European prices plus shipping costs.
The UK is probably your cheapest source of Simp McVoguerick patterns - this is the UK Simplicity/New Look/Burda site, and suppliers of BMV are many - SewEssential, Jaycotts, Abakhan are ones I have used, also Amazon. I lived in the Middle East long before internet days and my mum used to post me one or two a month!
ETA - once you study the prices of envelope patterns in Europe, you'll soon realise why magazines with traceable patterns are so popular here! Of course, depending on where you are and your exact circumstances in the ME, you may or may not be able to obtain complete, uncensored magazines such as Burda, Patrones, La Mia Boutique etc locally or through the post.

Not in Europe, but StyleArc has many, many choices for PDFs. Jalie from Canada offers PDFS too.

I recently purchased patterns from Deer & Doe (France) and Waffle Patterns (Netherlands). You may want to check them out.

I have used Jaycotts before, they have a very well organised website (very easy to search, unlike what I hear about the American simplicity website) and they stock a good range of the pattern companies.

I don't buy many patterns and tend to wait until the sales. I buy from sewdirect - don't be tempted to become a member as it's not really worth it now - and this site is excellent. You can really 'drill down' to find what you want.

I mostly buy Ottobre Woman (twice/year) and Burda (Plus twice/year) these days as I find they have excellently drafted patterns and they are inexpensive compared to the price of single envelope patterns. Sometimes a regular envelope pattern on sale from sewingpatterns.com. I have decided that for m e, my hobby does not include faffing about taping up print-at-home patterns.

I use Lekala pdf patterns for most things. I also buy Ottobre and Burda but only if they have something in it I actually want to sew now.
For paper patterns I either ship from Jaycotts in the UK or use Rascol in france - usually cheaper to ship from the UK. Also worth looking at amazon.
