I have Netflix and Hulu Plus. I hardly ever use Hulu Plus. Before I cancel it, I'd like to know how others use Hulu Plus. Maybe there's something I'm missing.

Thx for your opinions and thoughts in advance.

I had it for a while and ended up cancelling. I have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO NOW (only during Games of Thrones season) which is all I need.

I just don't watch much TV and when I do, I really look for something good. I'm just not interested in the network stuff, which Hulu has a ton of.

I have Amazon Prime and Netflix, so I just canceled my Hulu subscription. The ads annoyed me and most of what I wanted to watch was available on one of my other subscriptions. It just wasn't worth it to me to keep Hulu anymore.

I don't think you're missing anything.

I couldn't afford cable anymore. And my TV reception is cursingly bad.

I thought Hulu would be a good alternative because it seemed like the closest thing to current TV. And it looked like they carried some series from stations I liked.

But no.

Hulu is such a pain to watch. And they made it hard to see which shows are available. Netflix and Amazon Prime have Watchlists that are easy to use. Not Hulu. They want you to watch what THEY want you to watch. So, you have to wade through a lot of junk. If you're lucky, they have a season or two. But the things I wanted to watch had only a couple of episodes.

Also, commercials. They're LOUD.

I have Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and HBO Now (only for Game of Thrones season). I Like Hulu for the network stuff I never remember to TIVO...and also because my TIVO is old and doesn't beam to other TVs so I can't watch the recordings in my sewing room which is where I watch 99% of the time. DH uses the TIVO in its current spot so I'm not moving it.

I don't mind the Hulu interface because it's way better than HBO Now. That one is just SO bad. You can't hover to find info about a show, you have to click it, and then it autoplays. They could really use a history like Netflix so I could go back and see what series I've been watching because I forget.

One thing I wish they all would have on hover is if the audio is in English or another language. I just can't follow subtitles when I'm sewing, duh!

I heard that TCM is coming out with their own streaming service - can't wait for that, love me my classic films!

I use Hulu most of all because of the criterion collection, which includes 100s of foreign and independent films. None are shown with commercials. If you haven't explored criterion and have hulu, I urge you to watch a few. The films by Krzysztof Kieślowski are some of the best movies I've ever seen.

We use Hulu at our lake house through Roku and at home when we forget to DVR something or get interested later. Also like some of their programming like "Behind the Mask" which was about sports mascots.

I have Hulu, Netflix, Acorn and IndieFlix and since I live with my mom, I share the cost of Prime and she has Directv so I have access to all the shows from them, plus the premiums.

I watch very little of it, Acorn if I'm in a mood; Prime is the current thing I've been watching. My husband and son watch most of it. When Netflix is out of zombie films, or DH has seen them all, he switches to Hulu. Hulu also seems to have more SciFi, another thing he watches.

I did initially get Hulu plus to watch 11.22.63, and he was like wow, zombieeees! So we kept it.

We have 6 TVs in the house, only one is ever used. Most of the time DH and I watch on computers and my son on his phone or tablet. On a good week, I watch maybe 8 hours of television, most of the time I read on my computer. My DH...he's who it is bought for, and he's the one it's always on. Hulu (and everything else other then IndieFlix and Acorn) are his choices.

I don't have cable tv and have horrible digital antenna reception (I can get NBC in one room). So I have Amazon, Netflix, Hulu. I watch HULU the most. I usually use it to follow current tv shows. The Daily Show, Larry Wilmore, Scandal all show up the next day. I am currently in the free introductory month of Acorn, not sure if I'll keep it or not.
I probably use Amazon the least but have it for the shipping deal.
Really love HULU but the commercials are loud.

My husband travels for his job, and he is the primary user of Hulu Plus in the family (so, mainly for keeping up with current shows). I paid the few extra $$ to get the commercial free option which IMO is the only way to go.

Hulu also has a lot of tv from other counteries - Japanese anime, Korean and Taiwanese dramas, and Spanish Telenovelas (not sure if the telenovelas have english subtitles or not, but the rest do). They are just a little "behind" the specialty sites (like Viki and DramaFever) in getting episodes (the two mentioned above, as well as some of the anime producers, feed their content to Hulu). So, if you ever wanted to try out some shows outside the US, you can do that on Hulu and don't have to get a special subscription to another site.

Also, Hulu is producing original content now. I started watching "The Path" a few weeks ago.
